Peng Kang, born in January 1986, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Resources and Safety Engineering, Central South University. He graduated from Central South University with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Mining Engineering. He is engaged in the underground mining of metal deposits and rock mechanics research. As the project leader, he has undertaken three National Natural Science Foundation projects, three provincial and ministerial level funds, and more than ten school-enterprise cooperation projects. He has won eight first prizes among the top three at the provincial and ministerial level and one science and technology progress prize of Shandong Province, which ranks second. As the main author, he has published more than 20 SCI papers and acquired more than 10 national invention patents.
