Elena Chianese is an Associate Professor of Environmental Chemistry in the Department of Science and Technology at the Parthenope University of Naples, Italy. She graduated in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Naples Federico II in 2002 and obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the same university in 2005. Her research focuses on atmospheric chemistry, air pollution monitoring, chemical characterization of particulate matter, and source apportionment. She has extensive experience in investigating the influence of meteorological conditions, emission sources, and atmospheric transport processes on urban air quality. Her scientific activities also address the environmental behaviour of atmospheric pollutants, the chemical composition of aerosols, and the relationships between air pollution and environmental exposure.
