Dr. Hong Wang received her doctorate in Molecular Biology from University of Jyväskylä, Finland. She is currently a Senior Scientist at Minerva Foundation Institute for Medical Research. Dr. Wang´s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of ischemic cardiac injury, regeneration after myocardial infarction, and cardiometabolic disorders associated with Type 2 Diabetes. Her research also includes the study of potential therapeutic targets and pharmaceutical drugs using animal disease models and cell cultures.
