Fabio Fatiguso is a Civil Engineer with PhD in Building Engineering, he is a Full Professor of “Technical Architecture” (ICAR/10) at the Polytechnic University of Bari, where he teaches “Building Recovery and Redevelopment” in the CLM in Building Systems Engineering. He is Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic University of Bari and President of the University Quality Committee since 2019. He is the Scientific Director of the BT-LAB of the Polytechnic University of Bari and is president and founder of the University Spinoff “B.Re.D. Building Refurbishment and Diagnostics”. He is President of the Scientific Society of Technical Architecture Ar. Tec. for the three years 2022-2025. He is an ANVUR System Expert and has carried out periodic university accreditation activities (AVA). His research activity mainly concerns the recovery and maintenance of historical and traditional building heritage, as well as the development of VR/AR environments and HBIM approaches for multi-level assessment for the conservation and fruition of cultural heritage. He has been and is the coordinator and head of UdR for several national and international research projects.
