Dr. Ivano E. Castelli is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, Department of Energy Conversion and Storage (DTU Energy). He got his Ph.D. in 2013 at DTU Physics, in the group of Prof. Jacobsen. He also worked as an EPFL Fellow, Switzerland in the group of Prof. Marzari and as a postdoc researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in Prof. Rossmeisl. His research focuses on discovering novel materials, using quantum mechanical simulations and autonomous workflows, mostly in the framework of Density Functional Theory. His main interests include the design of perovskites and materials with reduced dimensionality for energy applications, as well as modelling the solid/electrolyte and solid/solid battery interfaces.
