Elisabeta I. Szerb is senior researcher (CSI) at “Coriolan Dragulescu” Institute of Chemistry, Romanian Academy, head of Program 4. She graduated in 2002 from Politehnica University of Timişoara, Romania and obtained her PhD in 2005 from University of Calabria, Italy. She carried out postdoctoral studies at IPCMS Strasbourg, France, and worked as researcher on contracts at University of Calabria until 2015. Her research domains are coordination chemistry, materials chemistry and supramolecular chemistry, with research topics including the synthesis and characterization of luminescent metallomesogens and hybrid materials for electro-optics and biomedical fields.
