Dr. Emmanouil Oikonomou received a BEng Honours in Rural and Surveying Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1990 and a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Southampton in 1998. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering, University of West Attica. His research areas include remote sensing, coastal surveying, hydrography, physical oceanography, and surveying applications in climate change and energy studies.
