Dimitrios E. Manolakos received his Ph.D. from the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 1984. He is currently a Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology Division, NTUA and the Director of the Laboratory of Manufacturing Technology, NTUA. His research interests include manufacturing processes, precision and ultra-precision manufacturing, nanotechnology, manufacturing automation, and so on. He has published five books/monographs, 106 papers in refereed journals, and 77 papers in refereed conference proceedings.
