Dr. Mohamed A. Habila is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at King Saud University. He is a board member of the Saudi Chemical Society. He is interested in nanotechnology for the development of clean methods for the separation of environmental pollutants, improvement of solid phase extraction and dispersive micro-extraction, water and wastewater treatments, and the synthesis and characterization of nano-porous multifunctional core-shell structures for various applications. Dr. Habila is supervising more than eight MSc and PhD students. Dr. Habila has published more than 110 scientific articles and delivered more than 25 public lectures in chemistry at local and international conferences and scientific events. He has also received six awards: - Third position in the King Saud University Scientific Excellence Prize 2013 for seventh branch in science and engineering “Student Research Excellence Prize”. - Almarai Prize 2014 for the best creative research work (co-researcher). - The prize for the best oral presentation in the first scientific student meeting of the Saudi Chemical Society 2013. - Academics World Excellent Paper Award for the category of best presentation/best content at the Academics World International Conference held in Athens, Greece on 7 October 2015. - Saudi Chemical Society for excellence in Society services, 2019. - IAAM Young Scientist Medal, 2022—International Association of Advanced Materials.
