Alessandro Messeri earned a PhD in 2009, after graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry at the University of Florence. He has been dealing with agroclimatology, biometeorology and climatology for over 10 years with particular reference to the effects that extreme weather events have on health. He is the author or co-author of over 40 scientific publications in international journals in the fields of biometeorology, meteorology, climatology, agroclimatology and agronomy. It presents 395 citations and an H index equal to 13 (HI index 14) according to Google Scholar.
