Axel Künstner graduated in Computer Science and received his PhD in Evolutionary Genetics from the University of Uppsala, Sweden in 2011. Currently, he is a member of the Medical Systems Biology group at the Institute of Experimental Dermatology in Lübeck, Germany, where he heads the Bioinformatics Service Unit.
