Dr. Francesca Iommelli is currently a researcher at the Institute of Biostructures and Bioimaging (IBB) of the National Research Council (CNR) of Naples. She achieved her Ph.D. degree in Molecular Imaging in January 2007 at the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences, University of Naples Federico II, Italy. She served as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Francesca Iommelli employs her expertise in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and cellular biology for the characterization of molecular targets and pathways involved in tumor growth and progression, with a particular interest in the mechanisms underlying drug resistance.
