Katarzyna Zima currently serves as a Research Associate at the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Gdańsk. She earned a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Gdańsk, gaining expertise in the field of inflammatory skin diseases. Her previous professional experience includes the analysis of bioactive properties of natural compounds, particularly polyphenols, and their potential applications in the treatment and prevention of inflammatory, metabolic, and viral diseases. She is presently focused on studying the molecular mechanisms underlying inflammatory and metabolic processes, reflecting a commitment to advancing practical applications of scientific knowledge.
