Dr. Xuemei Zhou

Dr. Xuemei Zhou has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Transportation Management, Tongji University since 2005. Before that, she worked at the College of Automotive Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology as a lecturer from 1997 to 2003 and as an Associate Professor from 2003 to 2005. She received a PhD at the Tongji University from 2001 to 2004. In attrition, she also serves as an expert in procurement evaluation for the Shanghai Municipal Government, a member of the Shanghai Society of Transportation Engineering, and a reviewer for journals such as the Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology, Journal of Transportation Engineering, and Journal of Shandong University. She has won the third prize in the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the third prize in the Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize in the Excellent Engineering Consulting Award of the Tianjin Engineering Consulting Association, etc. She has been engaged in research on public transportation system planning, design, and services, intelligent transportation system technology and methods, integrated transportation systems, multimodal transportation, and hub theory and methods for a long time. Particularly, based on the principles of transportation engineering systems engineering and information technology, she focuses on studying the problems and countermeasures of "public transportation operation services".
