Prof. Arkady Zaslavsky is a Professor of Distributed Systems
and Security at the School of Information Technology, Deakin University,
Burwood Campus. He completed his MS.c. studies in Computer Science at the
Faculty of Cybernetics and Applied Mathematic, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi
State University in 1976, and Ph.D. studies in Computer Science at Moscow
Institute for Control Sciences (IPU-IAT) in 1987. He has published more than
400 research publications throughout his professional career.
His research interests include distributed systems, IoT, context-awareness,
middleware, artificial intelligence, data management and data science,
distributed computing and systems software, and human-centered computing.
