Doctor Yan is a pharmacist and researcher in Central South University, he focuses on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology (TDM & CT). He is one of the 12 committee members of international association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology (IATDMCT). He has strong interest in optimizing pharmacotherapy by TDM, and exploring ways to enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity of antibiotic therapy and anti-tumor therapy. Based on nuclear factor erythroid 2- related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway, he has been exploring the mechanisms of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (TKIs) induced hepatotoxicity. He is the associate editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology for several research topics. Recently he is trying to conduct pharmacovigilance research bases on FAERS database and promote the drug safety.
