Prof. Dr. Chengming Sun is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He is currently the dean of the Institute of Smart Agriculture of Yangzhou University, in charge of the overall work of the institute and assisting in the development of the college's disciplines and professional construction. He completed his PhD in Crop Science at the Yangzhou University (2006). He has presided over two National Natural Science Foundation projects, one National Key R&D Program sub-project, two international cooperation projects, and more than ten other projects at various levels. He is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in crop cultivation physiology and its informatization. He has carried out relatively systematic research work in crop growth models, rice and wheat growth monitoring and image recognition, climate change and food security, and agricultural Internet of Things design and application.
