Nazrul Islam is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He obtained his Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics) from the Monash University. In the inhaled drug delivery research, he has made key contributions to understanding the mechanisms of particle dispersion from dry powder agglomerates, which stipulate the formulation strategies to increase the drug delivery efficiency from dry powder inhaler (DPI) formulations. His Research Keywords include the Characterization of micro/nanoparticles for respiratory delivery, the Development of controlled-release dosage forms, and Surface-tailored biodegradable polymers for maximizing drug delivery from DPI formulations.
