Giulia Gaggi is a Research Fellow at the Department of Medicine and Aging Sciences, University of
Studies G. d’Annunzio Chieti and Pescara. She received a Bachelor’s degree in
Biotechnology and a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology from Alma Mater
Studiorum–Università di Bologna in 2014 and 2017, respectively. She obtained a
PhD in Translational medicine from Università degli Studi ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’
di Chieti in 2021. She served as a Trainee scientist
at the Institut Pasteur in 2017 and as a Visiting Research Scholar at the
Harvard Medical School in 2021 and 2023. Her research interests include
pluripotent stem cells and perinatal stem cells isolated from fetal annexes. In addition, she investigates the effects of in utero exposure to endocrine disruptors on neuronal development using human brain organoids.
