Prof. Dr. Chun Zhang currently works as the chief physician at the Department of Nephrology, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He obtained a doctorate in medicine from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2004. He went to Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States to engage in postdoctoral research from 2008 to 2010. His professional specialties are primary kidney diseases such as chronic nephritis and nephrotic syndrome; secondary kidney diseases such as diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephritis, Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis; acute and chronic renal failure and hemodialysis. He serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Nephrology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the Standing Committee of the Nephrology Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and the Standing Committee of the Blood Purification Center Branch of the Chinese Hospital Association.
