Xiaopeng Gao is an Associate Professor of Soil Fertility and Agronomy in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Manitoba. He holds a Ph.D. in Soil Science from Wageningen University and an M.Sc. in Plant Nutrition from China Agricultural University. His current research focuses on three key areas: (1) enhancing the nutritional quality of cereal grains through innovative fertilizers, bioscience techniques, and improved management practices; (2) investigating greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural systems; and (3) understanding nutrient availability within the rhizosphere.
