Dimitra I. Kaklamani was born in Athens, Greece. She received her Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering (ECE) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 1992. She was elected lecturer (April 1995), assistant professor (April 2000), associate professor (October 2004), and professor (February 2009) with the School of ECE, NTUA. She has more than 350 publications in the fields of software development for information transmission systems modeling, microwave networks, and mobile and satellite communications. She has coordinated the NTUA activities in the framework of several EU and national projects in the same areas.
