Information

Dr. Scott Forbes received his B.Sc. (2005) and M.Sc. (2007) in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan and earned his Ph.D. (2012) in Physical Education and Recreation from the University of Alberta. He completed his postdoctoral studies at the University of Calgary from 2013 to 2014. He is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Education Studies at Brandon University and an Adjunct Professor in the faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina. Dr. Forbes is a certified sports nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition, a clinical exercise physiologist, and a high-performance specialist. His primary interest is in sport science and he is focused on various nutritional and training interventions to enhance athlete performance. In addition, he has expertise in examining nutritional and exercise interventions for optimal muscle and brain health in older adults. He has worked as a personal trainer and an athlete consultant for several professional and varsity-level sports teams.
