Biography

Anas M. Abdel Rahman is an accomplished clinical scientist at the Metabolomics Section in the Department of Clinical Genomics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC)’s Center for Genome Medicine (CGM) and Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine in Alfaisal University’s School of Medicine, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry from the Memorial University of Newfoundland (NL, Canada). With over a decade of experience in metabolomics research, his research has been focused on the next generation of metabolic screening. He has been actively involved in studying rare genetic diseases using advanced omics techniques, including metabolomics. His research group has successfully established metabolomics platforms for biomarker discovery and disease prediction models. His research group focuses on fundamental and applied studies in downstream genomics using advanced techniques in biomolecular separation such as GC/LC-MSMS, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), microarrays for transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics analyses.
