Javier Cañueto graduated with a degree in Medicine from the University of Salamanca (USAL) in 2005 and with the PhD in 2016. He is a specialist Dermatology and Venereology from 2010 and he is now the head of the Department of Dermatology at the Complejo Asistencial Universitario de Salamanca (CAUSA). He has been mainly dedicated to skin cancer and his research have focused in the risk stratification of skin cancer, in the identification of markers of response in skin cancer treatment and the tumor microenvironment thorough his IBSAL research groups "Dermatology-oncology: genetics, aging and immunology". He is Associate Professor at the University of Salamanca. He has an h-Index of 21 and his papers have been cited almost 1300 times from 2018 to date (Scopus, 26 December 2023).
