Xianyong Ma is a doctor of agriculture, the academic leader of the Laboratory of Ecological Husbandry and Environmental Control, and the director of the Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center of Animal Meat Quality and Safety Control and Evaluation. She graduated from South China Agricultural University in 2004. She has worked at the institution of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences since earning her doctoral degree. Her primary research interest is the ecological husbandry of mono-gastric animal meat quality improvement related to mono-gastric animal and unconventional feed resources development. She won the second prize in Science and Technology at the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ranking number one). She created a high-value recycling technology aimed at geographical agricultural waste, integrated technology for microbial deodorization with source control and terminal degradation, and established a new ecological and healthy pig and chicken breeding model with “healthy breeding as the core and product safety as the purpose”.
