About Me
Prof. Dr. Xiao Dong Chen is a Professor and Founding Head of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Soochow University. He completed his PhD studies at Canterbury University in 1991 and has been awarded the IDS Founder Award for Outstanding Contribution to Drying in 2014 and the IAEF Lifetime Achievement Award in Food Engineering in 2015. His research interests include biotechnology, the food industry, biotechnology, pollution, purification, drying, and spontaneous combustion.
