Oana Romina BOTORAN has a scientific background in chemical engineering, with the main interest in isotopic data modeling for different applications, including food safety, and is experienced in the development of advanced methods for the analysis of multiple products and their metabolites in food, feed, biological and environmental matrices. The current research is directed toward improving the quality of life, security, and environment. Oana Romina has experience in applying stable isotope techniques for food and beverage characterization and authentication, with emphasis on the application of fingerprinting methods, such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS), including the development of different extraction techniques, essential for accurate and comprehensive isotopic fingerprinting.
