Katalin Lányi received a Master of Environmental Management
from the University of Amsterdam and a MSc in Chemistry from Eötvös Loránd
University, and a PhD in Environmental Chemistry from the University of
Debrecen. She has been an Associate Professor at Szent István University from
2006–2014. She is now a Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Food Toxicology
Laboratory at the Department of Food Hygiene, University of Veterinary Medicine
Budapest, Hungary. She is a Bioanalytical Chemist with a strong research
background in environmental chemistry and food safety. Her main expertise is in
chromatography (LC and GC) and mass spectrometry. She is also experienced in
general spectrometric analyses and sample prep.
