Dr. Prabuddh Kumar Mishra is an Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale) in the Department of Geography at Shivaji College, University of Delhi, India. He has received an M.A., M. Phil, and Doctorate in Geography from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He has also worked at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT, Delhi) as Assistant Professor and Project Fellow. His research interest is primarily in planning and management of environmental sustainability and in exploring ways for making policies, plans, programmes and project developments more environmentally sustainable. His research expertise includes natural resource management, watershed management, mountain studies, disaster management, and the application of geospatial techniques and livelihood-related issues. His work is usually interdisciplinary and he particularly enjoys international comparative research. He has headed and contributed to research and consultancy projects funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR, India). He is also serving as Joint Secretary of the National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI), the largest society of Geographers in India. He has been actively engaged in various environmental education programmes for schools, colleges, and universities.
