Advancements in Healthcare Internet of Things (H-IoT) systems have created new opportunities and solutions for healthcare services, including the remote treatment and monitoring of patients. In addition, the security and privacy of personal health data must be ensured during data transfer. Security breaches in H-IoT can have serious safety and legal implications. This comprehensive review provides insights about secured data accession by employing cryptographic platforms such as H-IoT in big data, H-IoT in blockchain, H-IoT in machine learning and deep learning, H-IoT in edge computing, and H-IoT in software-defined networks. With this information, this paper reveals solutions to mitigate threats caused by different kinds of attacks. The prevailing challenges in H-IoT systems, including security and scalability challenges, real-time operating challenges, resource constraints, latency, and power consumption challenges are also addressed. We also discuss in detail the current trends in H-IoT, such as remote patient monitoring and predictive analytics. Additionally, we have explored future prospects, such as leveraging health data for informed strategic planning. A critical analysis performed by highlighting the prevailing limitations in H-IoT systems is also presented. This paper will hopefully provide future researchers with in-depth insights into the selection of appropriate cryptographic measures to adopt an energy-efficient and resource-optimized healthcare system.

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is an arising trend that provides a significant amount of efficient and effective services for patients as well as healthcare professionals for the treatment of disparate diseases. The IoMT has numerous benefits; however, the security issue still persists as a challenge. The lack of security awareness among novice IoMT users and the risk of several intermediary attacks for accessing health information severely endanger the use of IoMT. In this article, rooted elliptic curve cryptography with Vigenère cipher (RECC-VC) centered security amelioration on the IoMT is proposed for enhancing security. First, this work utilizes the exponential K-anonymity algorithm for privacy preservation. Second, a new improved Elman neural network (IENN) is proposed for analyzing the sensitivity level of data. The Gaussian mutated chimp optimization is employed for weight updating in this IENN. Finally, a novel RECC-VC is proposed for securely uploading the data to the cloud server. Additionally, data are stored in the cloud server using blockchain technology. In experimental analysis, the proposed methodologies attain better results than the prevailing methods. The proposed IENN model achieves an accuracy of 96% and is validated against state-of-the-art methods. Also, the proposed RECC-VC attains 98% of the security level.

Nowadays, the use of digital content or digital media is increasing day by day. Therefore, there is a need to protect the digital document from both unauthorized users and authorized users. The digital document should be protected from authorized users who try to redistribute it illegally. Digital watermarking techniques along with cryptography are insufficient to ensure an adequate level of security of digital media. The security of the transferring digital data in the modern world is also a big challenge because there is a high risk of security breaches. In this article, a secure technique of image fusion using hybrid domains (spatial and frequency) for privacy preserving and copyright protection is proposed. The proposed method provides a secure technique for the digital content in cloud environment. Two cloud services are used to develop this work, which eliminates the role of a trusted third party (TTP). First is the design of an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to store different images with encryption processes to speed up the image fusion process and save storage space. Second, a Platform as a Service (PaaS) is used to enable the digital content to improve computation power and to increase the bandwidth. The prime objective of the proposed scheme is to transfer the digital media between a service provider and customer in a secure way using a hybrid domain along with cloud storage. Imperceptibility and robustness measures are used to calculate the performance of the proposed approach.

In the past few years, remote monitoring technologies have grown increasingly important in the delivery of healthcare. According to healthcare professionals, a variety of factors influence the public perception of connected healthcare systems in a variety of ways. First and foremost, wearable technology in healthcare must establish better bonds with the individuals who will be using them. The emotional reactions of patients to obtaining remote healthcare services may be of interest to healthcare practitioners if they are given the opportunity to investigate them. In this study, we develop an artificial intelligence-based classification system that aims to detect the emotions from the input data using metaheuristic feature selection and machine learning classification. The proposed model is made to undergo series of steps involving preprocessing, feature selection, and classification. The simulation is conducted to test the efficacy of the model on various features present in a dataset. The results of simulation show that the proposed model is effective enough to classify the emotions from the input dataset than other existing methods.

In the past few decades there has been operating analysis on emotion expression recognition due to the great intra-class deviation also it is still challenging. Maximum number of research work performs the best on controlled datasets (i.e., small datasets with less features), whereas it fails to operate well and it’s still challenging on datasets varies variations in images and even in partial faces. In modern years, many works have introduced an end-to-end plan for emotion expression recognition, utilizing deep learning models. Although emotion recognition is a great task, there still seems to be a huge area for development. In this paper, we developed a mini-Xception based on Xception and Convolution Neural Network (CNN), which is easy to concentrate on great parts like the face, and conclude important improvements to earlier works. We validated our model by creating a real-time vision system which accomplishes the tasks of face detection, and emotion classification simultaneously in one blended step using our proposed mini-Xception architecture. We still utilize a visualization technique that is ready to detect important face sectors because recognizing various emotions, based on the classifier’s output. For experimental analysis we had used FER-2013 dataset and results manifest that the proposed method can efficiently perform all the tasks like detection and classification with seven different emotions using with Mini-Xception algorithm and achieved accuracy around 95.60%.
