Manlio Bacco has worked as a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR), Pisa, Italy, since 2012. Starting from October 2023, he has worked at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He holds a PhD in information engineering and science from the University of Siena. His research is focused on IoT and architectures for trusted data exchanges, with a strong emphasis on digital agriculture and rural areas.
