Dr. Al-Hatamleh is a Postdoctoral Associate at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and the Division of Malignant Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He earned his PhD in Immunology from University of Science Malaysia, building on earlier training and experience in laboratory medicine. His research focuses on understanding and reprogramming the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, with the goal of overcoming resistance to immunotherapy. He is committed to developing innovative therapeutic strategies that improve responses to immunotherapy and to elucidating the divergent immune responses in head and neck cancers.
