Information

Anzhong Wang is a Professor in Physics Department, at Baylor University. He joined the Baylor faculty in August 2003. Before coming to Baylor he taught at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1996-2003), the National Observatory, Rio de Janeiro (1994–1996), and the State University of Sao Paulo at Campinas (1992–1994). He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Universities of Crete and Ioannina from 1991–1992. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Physics from Shandong Normal University at Liaocheng (currently Liaocheng University) and M.Sc. degree in theoretical physics from Northeast Normal University, before earning his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Ioannina. His research areas include classical and quantum theories of gravity and their applications to astrophysics and cosmology. Currently, his research topics include gravitational wave physics, quantum cosmology, black holes, and the nature and origins of dark matter and dark energy. He has published about 300 articles with more than 11,000 citations. In recent years, he has been listed as one of the 2% top-cited world scientists in all science fields, according to recent Stanford University releases.
