Dr. Jinyi Liu is an associate professor at the College of Horticulture, Nanjing Agricultural University. He completed his PhD studies in Fruit Arboriculture at Nanjing Agricultural University in 2014. His research interests include (1) collection, preservation, evaluation, and creation of new varieties of wild and excellent resources of Rosa spp.; (2) research on the molecular mechanism of flower organ development and “multi-flowering” of moonflower; (3) genome sequencing analysis of Rosa canina resources, excellent gene mining, and genetic transformation system construction; and (4) evolutionary analysis of gene families and biosynthetic and metabolic pathways.
