Ennio Gambi obtained a master's degree in electronic engineering in 1986 and a specialization diploma in microwave engineering in 1989 (both from UNIVPM). Since 1992, he has been a part of UNIVPM, where he is currently an associate professor in telecommunications. He teaches courses on “wireless communications and navigation systems” and “TLC technologies”. His main research interests are currently focused on the applications of millimeter-wave radars and RGBD sensors, with particular attention on the observation of subjects for the extraction of vital parameters through the processing of extracted data based on machine learning algorithms. He has also dealt with home automation systems for some time, and their evolution toward ambient-assisted living systems. He is interested in systems for monitoring gas compositions, aimed at ensuring air quality.
