Hwang Yi is currently a Professor of Architecture at Korea University. He was an Assistant Professor in the Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture at Florida International University, Miami from 2016 to 2018. He is an architect and professional expert in digital design and fabrication of architecture. He obtained his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. His research focuses primarily on interdisciplinary data-driven approaches for intelligent building design processes, which incorporate Architectural Robotics, 4D printing, and artificial intelligence (AI).
