Dr. Jia Zhou is currently a tenured Professor in the Chemical Biology Program at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), USA. He received a PhD degree and trained as a postdoctoral research fellow from Nankai University and at the University of Virginia, and Georgetown University Medical Center, respectively. He has over 20 years of research experience in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery and development, including 7 years of industrial experience in US pharmaceuticals. Dr. Zhou is a distinguished medicinal chemist and drug discovery expert with over 190 peer-reviewed publications, 7 book chapters, and 26 patents. Dr. Zhou is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Current Topics of Medicinal Chemistry and a National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellow.
