Carlos Bravo-Diá z received his Ph.D. degree in 1991 under the supervision of Prof. Ramón-Leis- Fidalgo studying the effects of micellar systems on nitrosation reactions. He joined the Romsted´s group (1991−1993) and studied micellar effects on the Sandmeyer reaction. In 1993, he obtained a position as assistant professor at the University of Vigo, Spain, and is now a full professor. He has authored or coauthored more than 130 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. His major research interests include solvolytic arenediazonium chemistry and the quantitative approach of physical organic chemistry to model chemical reactivity at aqueous interfaces.
