Jin-Wook Yoo is a Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Pusan National University, Busan. He obtained his M.S. at the School of Pharmacy, Pusan National University, South Korea, and his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. From 2008 to 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara. From 2012 to 2020, he was an Assistant/Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Pusan National University. His research interests are in developing novel drug delivery devices that shepherd therapeutic cargo through target disease sites in safe and effective manners. He focuses on how particle shape, which is an emerging particle design parameter, affects drug delivery processes, including drug release, targeting, cellular uptake, and intracellular trafficking.
