PhD from the Polytechnic University of Madrid with the thesis Growth and production of Pinus sylvestris l. in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Professor in the Department of Agroforestry Engineering at the Polytechnic School of Engineering of the University of Santiago de Compostela. Member of Agrupación Estratégica en Gestión y Producción Sostenible de Biorecursos. Member of the research group "Unidad de Gestión Ambiental y Forestal Sostenible". In his career he has published 59 scientific articles, written three books, two book chapters and contributed to eight congresses. He has supervised eight undergraduate and postgraduate theses and led different research projects. He holds a patent entitled: Procedure and device for measuring the volume of objects made of hygroscopic materials of complex geometry by means of a pneumatic system.
