Piotr Dobrowolski is an Associate Professor of the Department of Functional Anatomy and Cytobiology, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland. He completed his Ph.D. at the Maria Curie Sklodowska University. His scientific interests include histology, histomorphometry, and the biology of skeletal and digestive systems in animal models. In his research, he focuses on the effect of oral administration of amino and ketoacid derivatives on cartilage and bone tissue in normal development and osteopenia as well as the structural changes within the gastrointestinal tract. More recently, he has been interested in the effects of high-fat diets in animal models.
