Dr Mohsen Sarafraz is Vice-Chancellor Alfred Deakin Research Fellow at the University of Deakin and project manager of the ADPRF project in the School of Engineering. He is the author of two book chapters and has been working in the field of clean energy production, hydrogen, advanced nanomaterials and microfluidics. His research interests include (but are not limited to): Photocatalysis and Plasmonic nanoparticles, Hydrogen production, renewable energy, energy storage, Process Intensification, thermal plasma and plasma chemistry for the production of clean fuels.
He was awarded a PhD from the University of Adelaide in Engineering-Renewable Energy. He has a Bachelor and a Master degree in Chemical Engineering-Advanced transport phenomena. Currently, he is looking into developing the next generation of micro-reactors for clean fuel production using optofluidics and photo-thermal active nano-catalysts.
