Margarida J. Quina received a PhD in Chemical Engineering, an MSc in Chemical Engineering, and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the University of Coimbra in 2006, 1997, and 1992, respectively. Since 2021, she has been an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Coimbra (UC). She is the Director and researcher at CERES-Chemical Engineering and Renewable Resources for Sustainability, located at UC. Her research topics mainly include circular economy, biorefinery, residues management, characterization, treatment and valorization, anaerobic digestion and composting, and recovery of nutrients and metals.
