Dr. Murali Krishna Gumma

I lead ICRISAT’s Geospatial and Big Data Sciences, tasked with researching geospatial analysis using Earth observation data, machine learning algorithms, and ground data and supporting multidisciplinary teams across Asia and Africa for sustainable agriculture development, natural resource management, and monitoring and evaluation. I have more than 23 years of experience in remote sensing and geographic information systems and their applications to agriculture, river basin management, natural resource management, water resources, wetlands, sustainable development, and environmental studies. My work experience spans 35 countries spread across Asia and Africa.
