Prof. Lu-Ning Wang is a Professor and Vice-Principal at the University of Science and Technology, Beijing. He received his B.E. from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology, Beijing (2002), his M.E. from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University (2005), his Master of Medicine from the Department of Materials Engineering, University of Alberta in Canada (2007), and his Ph.D. from the Department of Materials Engineering, University of Alberta in Canada (2011). He conducted his postdoctoral research at the Department of Chemistry and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta from May 2011 to April 2012. His main research interests during his doctoral and postdoctoral studies were the surface biomimetic modification of valve metal-based biomedical materials such as titanium and zirconium. His research results on various high-strength and high-plasticity Zn-Mn-based zinc alloys have been applied to several national invention patents.
