Current research interests: • study of cell and molecular mechanisms underlying a pathological process, especially in the cancer topic, in order to identify disease biomarkers. • In the field of radiobiology in oncology, particularly in breast cancer and in glioblastoma, study of biological and molecular effects induced by differential treatments with ionizing radiations, also in combination with radio-sensitizing molecules. Definition of dose-response curves, LQ model and derivation of the α/β parameters. • Identification of radio-response biomarkers in the perspective of personalized medicine in radiation therapy. • Proteogenomic approach application with methodologies of genomics, molecular and cell biology using in vitro models (immortalized and primary cell cultures) and in vivo mouse and Zebrafish models.
