In 1975 -1980 studied Novosibirsk State University - master geochemistry. In 1980-1989, he worked at the Geological Institute of the BF SB RAS in Ulan-Ude. In 1986, he received PhD with "Deep xenoliths of alkaline basalts of the Vitim plateau" In 1986 discovered picrobasalts with huge number of garnet xenoliths in picrite basalts in Vitim plato. First in the world proved the heating of the mantle comparing geotherms for quaternary and Miocene mantle xenoliths. Was awarded several times as “Man of the Year”. In 1989-2023 worked at the NV Sobolev Institute of Geology and Mineralogy SB RAS? Novosibirsk In 1991-1993, headed the grant "Petrology of the Upper Mantle of rift zones". From 1994 to 2021, was head of 6 of the RFBR grants. From 2002-2008, he managed 3 contractual works with ALROSA company. Studied > 90 kimberlite pipes of the Yakut diamondiferous province. From 2012 to 2023 (13 years), he head convener of session General Assembly of European Geoscience Union . He was responsible editor of the special issues Geoscience Frontiers (2017, N8) and in 2020-2021 – Minerals “Crust and Mantle Magmas as Response on Mantle Dynamics: Genesis, Geochemistry and Ores".e Dynamics: Genesis, Geochemistry and Ores"
