Prof. Dr. Ramzi A. Mothana studied pharmacy at Greifswald University in Germany and graduated in 1995. Prof. Dr. Ramzi A. Mothana earned a PhD at the same university in 1999 in the field of Pharmacognosy–Phytochemistry. Prof. Dr. Ramzi A. Mothana was the head of the Department of Pharmacognosy at Sana’a University, Yemen until 2007. Since 2008, Prof. Dr. Ramzi A. Mothana has been a faculty member at the Department of Pharmacognosy, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University. Prof. Dr. Ramzi A. Mothana performs research in natural product chemistry, pharmacology, and drug discovery from nature. His current project is related to the isolation and characterization of antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant, and antiprotozoal compounds from natural sources.
