Cosimo Cardellicchio is currently a senior researcher at the ICCOM Institute of the Italian National Council for Research. He earned his 5-year Chemistry degree in 1984 and his 3-year Ph.D. degree in Chemical Sciences at Bari University in 1988. He began his career as a researcher in 1988 with the Italian National Council for Research in the Centro di Studio sulle Metodologie Innovative di Sintesi Organiche and became a senior researcher in 2001.
His current research interests are related to the enantioselective synthesis of sulfides, synthesis with the Betti reaction, advanced NMR methodologies, and crystallography.
He was awarded the CINMPIS prize in 2013 for Innovation in Organic Synthesis.
